River Freezing
The river's freezing! Woo hoo! Hopefully the river will freeze over enough to allow folks to get out and enjoy some ice fishing and snowmobiling in their "front yards". But, I can only assume from the weather report this moring that come Tuesday, it'll all be gone. We'll just have to wait and see. If you're going to go out to check the ice, take care and be safe!

A look inside, and a Great Info Resource
In my last entry, looking back, I feel I may have painted somewhat of a boring picture for our community. That was certainly not my intention. Just, thinking about times when I was a young child, it may have seemed like there was sooo much more to do. As children, the world seems like such a huge endless space, but also at the same time, so small and almost centered around you. So maybe that's where I was headed, maybe the child inside was trying to remember the fun times, and question where they were today. Those fun times, and fun activities still exist, just not in the same areas, and not in the same form as I remember them. I think as we get older, not all, but some of us lose that sense of fun, and the world no longer seems to be so vast, and personal, it simply becomes life. We get drawn in to the norm. We become almost robotic with our daily lives and start to forget about, and lose enthusiasm for the small things in life, like going outside to make a snowman in the front yard, or running through the snowbanks with your dog, or even have a snowball fight with the kids next door. There's always something great about everyday, maybe I should turn off the auto-pilot, and start looking for that reason to smile till my cheeks hurt everyday.
So now, today I started to research information on mortgages. Along with alot of folks in America, my wife and I chose, a couple of years ago, to purchase a home. At the time, the best possible financing option was to get a 100% interest only financed mortgage with an ARM. As we have approx. 2 years left on the fixed portion of our term, I decided it would be a good idea to start making a game plan - you know, just in case our bank wants to do the maximum increase allowed each year. So just to let you know, I found a great site where there is loads of information on mortgages, links to various lenders, calculators to help you figure terms, and even a discussion board where you can post your concerns, and have actual, living people who have been there before, answer your questions and give you insight and solutions to your problems. This is a great place to find free financial advice, not from books, but from people who know, who have made the mistakes, and who can protect you from making them as well. http://www.mortgagefit.com/ I hope this will be a valuable resource for those who need it.

Dockside Village Project
Dockside Village of the 1000 Islands, once a dream, now will soon be underway. With word that construction will be resuming in the coming months, those of us dedicated to the project are getting the buzz. It's been a long winter, but the news of a much anticipated return-to-work date instills a fire inside us that could melt the snow. If only that could be! Anyhow, to those who are going to keep an eye on this project, DON'T BLINK!!!, with all the enthusiasm and stored energy from the winter months, this building should be up in no time.
And so Dockside Resorts remains silent under a blanket of the North Country's insulation. It is a quiet time of year for not only the condos, but for the entire community of Morristown. It's amazing how just 15 years ago, the river out front was always frozen by now and filled with the shacks of Ice Fishers, tracks from the various snowmobiles, and even a few full sized trucks. These days past used to enjoy snowmobile races, fishing derbies, hockey games on the river, and the building of magnificent snow sculptures. Today, we see open water, flat as glass, but unfortunately - not a sheet of ice. What's happened to our "Winter Wonderland"?

Waiting out the Winter
Well, it seems winter will be sticking around for a while. I had my motorcycle out last week, and since then, the weather's only gotten worse. It's another really windy day in the North Country, and with not enough snow for snowmobiling or sledding, and not enough ice for fishing on the river or lake, I guess we'll just have to sit back and dream of the summer weather as we wait out the winter. Though its a bit cold to visit us at Dockside Resorts, you can always check out the warm pictures of the community on the website. Upstate New York Condos for Sale

So here goes...
I have never commented on, nor tried to publish a blog before, but I do feel this will be a great way to provide additional information pertaining to my website. I can only hope that this blog will be useful for individuals seeking information about real estate, in particular, condos for sale.
My site provides free information on the property known as Dockside Resorts. This property consists of 6 buildings, 4 parking garages, and a 36 space dock structure all on 5 beautiful acres in upstate, Morristown, New York. This property provides 1000 feet of St. Lawrence River frontage with a gorgeous landscape. The sunsets EVERY night are some of the most beautiful you can see, as the only thing that can hinder them would be the clouds in the sky. Even then, the cotton candy skies are amazing.
Please take a moment if you're interested and visit our website. We are continuously adding new information to our content, and also, in the form of links to other great real estate related websites.
